Mom was showing junior around the boat club today. Not sure if they managed to get on the moorage waiting list...

Watch it as you enter the slough!

Last week someone dinged their propeller as they entered the slough, not sure what they hit but the photos below show how narrow the channel really is.

Now that the pilings  just south of the slough entrance have been cut off it is easier to lose your bearing when entering the slough. If you drift a bit too much to port (when entering the slough) you will end up on the big mudflat or perhaps hit a piece of debris that may be stuck in it.

Also , it is probably a good idea to stay away from the area where the pilings used to be just in case there are still some leftovers hidden under the water.  The photos below are several years old and show where the pilings used to be.
